We had the gracious opportunity to interview the Founder of Yú Teahouse Ms. Catherine Yung to learn more about her passion for tea, the rituals behind tea brewing and tea tasting, and why she thinks you should never eat while drinking tea. Here, Catherine shares her favourite Chinese teahouses and teashops across Hong Kong. View her itinerary now:

Yú Teahouse
Order a cup of tea at our Tsim Sha Tsui branch inside The Eslite Spectrum bookstore that overlooks Victoria Harbour. The team will explain the different tea types to you and brew them for you. The Causeway Bay branch is for retail only so this is the place to go if you are looking for a souvenir.

LockCha Teahouse

Situated in Hong Kong Park, their flagship teahouse serves tea and vegetarian dim sum.

Song Cha Xie

The ambiance is very calm, serene, and picturesque as it is situated inside the beautiful Chi Lin Nunnery, but the tea is not cheap here!

Plantation by teakha

A little teahouse tucked in a small street in the western Mid-Levels, serving a wide range of Chinese teas.

Bousen Tea House

Located in Causeway, they sell silver teapots and aged iron teapots. They also have a teahouse that serves tea only.

Yuan Yuan Tang

This Pu’er and Rock Oolong specialty teahouse in Sheung Wan offers a great selection of aged and new teas. They also sell many traditional teapots.

MingCha

Located in Chai Wan, this place offers a variety of teas and teapots for purchase. They also host various tea-tasting workshops as well.
