Urban Explorer Series: Eshita's Travel Itinerary

“When I think of the term “urban explorer”, I think about taking the path less travelled and pretending like I’m a local in a different city – going to the small cafe that the locals hang out at. I would just like to be able to live and breathe their way of life rather than just doing the same touristy things as everyone else.”

Annabel’s

It is a gorgeous private club with a starlit dance floor and everyone likes to take photos in their bathroom.

Mount Street

On this beautiful street, you can find some amazing brands like MatchesFashion, Townhouse and The Connaught Hotel.

Regent’s Park

There are a lot of hidden corners inside, which makes you feel like you’re in the countryside, like on an English estate. But really, you’re just in Central London!

Connaught Bar

It is the world’s top bar at the moment. Plus, I just love their gin martinis.

Chilton Street

It’s very photographic here. You have got the Chilton Firehouse as well as the Monocle Cafe.

The Lansdowne Pub & Dining Room

It is very cosy and has that neighbourhood vibe. I am also just a sucker for a good old-school Victorian pub.

Chinatown Bakeries

I love all the bakeries in Chinatown because I just love pandan cake, which you can find in Singapore – the place where I grew up in. Plus, the baked goods are always very fresh and affordable. It makes me feel a close connection to home.

Hakkasan Mayfair

This Michelin-starred restaurant on Bruton Street serves delicious modern Chinese cuisine that I love! It is quite reasonably priced and it is great for vegetarians like myself.
